First off, let me start by saying Vogue.com’s review of Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring 2016 show was a liiiitle uppity.
“One gets the feeling that Rebecca Minkoff’s customer might be most familiar with the designer’s seasonal muses from, say, a Pinterest board. Still, if Minkoff can turn on her young clientele to the likes of Patti Smith or Françoise Hardy, as some of the icons she’s envisioned through her kicky clothes, more power to her.”
I believe Minkoff is giving the people what they want- the 70’s.
Minkoff opened, and peppered the rest of her show, with all white looks. These looks are part of what anchored the 70’s appeal of the show for me. Also notice the neck tie in the last one. It’s here to stay!
When it comes to talking about Rebecca Minkoff’s shows, it really just turns into a wishlist for me. This last look is no exception. I’ve been pining away for a Rebecca Minkoff leather jacket for YEARS now! My only complaint is that no bags were featured in the show! Give me ALL the RM bags!!!
